Our team has over 26 years combined experience in Massage Therapy and includes Michael Reoch RMT and Marcy Wright RMT
Registered Massage Therapists
Michael Reoch, RMT
Michael graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007. He has a diverse background in treating patients with post-surgical scar pain, office warriors, weekend adventurers, and professional athletes. He focuses his education on neurological conditions and has a special interest in helping people with chronic/persistent and complex pain.
Mike uses massage therapy to treat all systems of the body. His pursuit of up-to-date research highly influences his practice. Mike was a clinic instructor at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy for four years and ran their case study program. Michael chaired a research panel at the 2012 Third International Fascia Research Congress in Vancouver, the RMTBC International Persistent Pain Conference in 2014, and the Manual Therapy Conference in 2016.
Michael is a past board member and the Chair of the Communications Committee for the Registered Massage Therapy Association of British Columbia. Through the RMTABC, Michael founded PPGPain, a professional practice group for Pain Management that helps RMTs pursue special education in pain sciences.
Michael teaches continuing education classes to fellow Manual Therapists; his curriculum can be found here.
Mike loves to hike the hills surrounding Kamloops in his spare time with his dog Comox and his family.
Marcia Wright Reoch, BSc, RMT
Marcia graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007. She also completed a four-year BSc in Biology from Hartwick College in three years while on a full-ride scholarship. At Hartwick, Marcia Captained the NCAA Division 1 Water Polo team.
Marcia suffered from a chronic shoulder problem due to overuse from intense sports training. Her rehab involved an excellent manual therapist who helped her through her injury and pain. Marcia understands the rehab experience as both a patient and practitioner and knows the importance of involvement in health care. She relates entirely to her patients' commitment and passion towards their sports/activities/hobbies and desire to return to what they love as soon as possible.
Marcia uses manual therapy, patient education, and strengthening with her patients. She has a passion for working with women during and after pregnancy, enhanced by having had two children. Marcia also has substantial knowledge of various pathologies and postural imbalances. She believes postural alignment and muscle balance are essential in a patient’s recovery.
Marcia enjoys being active and playing with her family in her free time. She loves swimming, nature, and most outdoor activities. She also enjoys DIY projects around the house and being creative in many ways, such as sewing, writing poems, and doing art projects with her kids.
